There are a lot of mending books on the market but I love this one for its layout & breakdown. Hikaru Noguchi presents an issue, such as socks that need darning, and then outlines several different ways one could repair them. She outlines which thread types are best to use based on the fabric you're repairing and offers a few stitching options - all of which have instruction within the book. This book is deceptively simple, very colorful, and would leave any would-be mender feeling confident to make an attempt!
