When I first saw this book, I gasped. You can do that with embroidery?! This book opened up a new world of stumpwork (the term for 3D embroidery) for me. This book is enough with just the photos, but each example is also a project! There are detailed instructions and pattern templates for each of the 12 projects.
I really enjoy the way Julie incorporates the natural world into her work - you'll notice how she utilizes actual twigs to boost the realism of her cherries. So creative & inspirational! You'll love having this in your library even if you have no desire to try this type of embroidery - it's simply wonderful work to look at.
